Description: Arnold Hills (1857-1927) (second from left, front row) was the leading personality at the Thames Ironworks until its closure in 1912. After attending Harrow and University College, Oxford, he joined the board of the works in 1880 and went on to have a highly eventful career in the London shipbuilding industry.
