Description: Sailors often suffered injuries and illness. In this cartoon a sailor with a minor wound is asked to sign a certificate declaring he has been cured by the 'quack' doctor before receiving treatment. The text alludes to abuses of the system of payments made for sick and wounded sailors by the Admiralty.
