Title: The Painted Chapel at the Old Royal Naval College.
Description: The chapel of St Peter and St Paul in the Queen Mary Court was originally designed by Thomas Ripley and completed about 1735. In 1779 fire gutted the chapel. It was restored by James Stuart in Greek-revival style. The choir stalls were added in 1882 and the pulpit has been move and reduced in size, but otherwise the chapel looks much as it did when services resumed after the fire in 1789.
