Description: The Trinity almshouses can be seen on the right of this photograph. Trinity Hall is in the centre and St Nicholas's can be seen in the distance. The church was built in the 17th century, but the Kentish ragstone tower is medieval, dating from about 1500. The church was gutted during the Second World War, but was restored to much of its former glory. On the west wall, the death of Christopher Marlowe, the dramatist, killed on 20 May 1593 in a tavern brawl, is recorded.
