Sweden, Finland and Norway exported huge quantities of timber to London. Throughout the 19th century and up to the 1920s, large numbers of small sailing ships carried Scandinavian timber to the Surrey and Millwall Docks.
From the second half of the nineteenth century, Denmark exported agricultural produce to London, including bacon, butter and dried milk.
