Repro ID: H6435_1
Description: The ornate cover of a map of the English colony of Virginia, dating from 1755. Virginia was a source of many valuable imports, particularly tobacco. Only decades after the map was published, Virginia gained independence together with the other original colonies in North America. However, independence did not stop the growth of tobacco exports to Britain.
