|Description: Inside the Danish Church in King Street, Poplar, which succeded the original church in Wellclose Square. Like the other Scandinavian churches in the port districts, its congregation was a mixture of settled Danish residents and seamen on brief visits to London. The model ship hanging in the nave underlined the maritime links of the church and its congregation. Since World War II, the Danish Seamen's Church is in Rope Street, Rotherhithe.
