| Description: In 1833 the East India Company finally lost its monopoly and trade with the east was opened to private firms. Shipbuilding companies like Green and Wigram of Blackwall ran their own vessels and began trading with India and China. These pagodas were collected by John Green on one of his voyages to China. |
