Description: A collection of 18th-century plans and sections from the Royal Dockyard, Woolwich. The Dockyard was founded in 1512-13, and hundreds of warships for the Royal Navy were built there over the next three centuries. As ships became bigger, it gradually lost importance and was finally closed in 1869.
