Description: The Soviet training ship 'Tovarishch Kherson', formerly the German 'Garsh Fock' (1933), in the Lower Pool. The photograph was taken around 1975, after the wharves had closed. Apart from a small number of utility vessels, most ships arriving in the Pool since the closure of the port are connected with leisure rather than trade.
