London from Greenwich Park.

London from Greenwich Park.

Repro ID: PU2254
Description: A view from the top of the hill by the Observatory, with a weekend or holiday crowd including a Greenwich Pensioner with a wooden leg, another hiring out his telescope for visitors to look through, and younger sailors and girls on the grass to the left. The time-ball on the east turret of Flamsteed House and the absence of the 'Fame', the Greenwich Hospital School drill ship in front of the Queen's House, indicate that the view dates from between 1833 and 1843
