Repro ID: PU2201
Description: A view of Greenwich Hospital from the west, off the old Greenwich waterfront around the Salutation Tavern and Garden Stairs, before this area was cleared in the 1830s and the Pier first built. A number of pleasure boats and other craft fill the foreground, with a small cutter or how moored centre left and a man climbing a flag-pole on the right This may be conected with one of the waterfront inns, as there is another such pole beyond. Only the river fronts of the Queen Anne and King Charles Courts of the Hospital are visible.
