Description: Preparing for her maiden voyage, Shaw, Savill & Albion Co's magnificent 'Dominion Monarch' (1938) is moored at the King George V Dock in February 1939. At 27,155 GRT she was the largest regular user of the Royal Docks and was one of the world's biggest liners, carrying 500 First-Class passengers between London and Australasia.
