Description: The Shaw, Savill & Albion Line's 'Corinthic' (1947, 15,682 GRT) in the Royal Albert Dock in May 1964. Originally a cargo/passenger vessel, in May 1965 her passenger accommodation was converted into additional cargo carrying space. She was scrapped in 1969. One of the ship's masters was Arthur Jones. He was known as 'Pitcairn Jones' as he had first seen the Pitcairn Islands in the South Pacific on board the 'Katuna' in 1919.
