| Description: A scene from the launch of the PortCities web site in September 2003. The launch was held in the former pedestrian walkways above the bascules of Tower Bridge. The walkways were always underused and were closed in 1910, but now serve as a venue for exhibitions. Appropriately, Tower Bridge and its history is one of the topics dealt with on the PortCities site. |
