| Description: Constituted under a Royal Charter granted by Henry VIII in 1514, the Corporation of Trinity House is the General Lighthouse Authority for England, Wales, The Channel Islands and Gibraltar. Today, the Corporation maintains 72 lighthouses, all of which are fully automated. The automated lighthouses are monitored and controlled from the Trinity House Operations Control Centre in Harwich, Essex. |
