| Description: The SS 'Wandle' passing under Southwark Bridge on her maiden voyage on 30 October 1932. She carried coal - up to 2,220 tons - for the Wandsworth and District Gas Company, and made regular journeys between the North East and the Company's gasworks at Wandsworth. She was the third vessel to use this name. This was the second Southwark Bridge, completed in 1921. |
