Title: A cruise to Covent Garden! Description: By the middle of the 18th century Covent Garden was full of taverns, lodging houses and Turkish baths, many of which were brothels. They tended to cater for wealthier clients than the establishments in Wapping and were frequented by ships' captains and rich merchants involved in the East India trade.
