Title: Morris Foley - Abiding memory 3.
Description: Morris was working at the Royal Docks after the war when he witnessed a group of poverty-stricken children being shipped to New Zealand. The children's fathers had been killed during the war and their mothers could not afford to look after them. They were being sent for adoption. Morris and his fellow dockers were moved by what they witnessed and had a collection for the children so that the people escorting them could buy them ice-cream.
