Title: Alex Edgar - Introduction.
Description: Alex Edgar was born in 1925 and worked as a post boy at Manhattan Wharf in Silvertown after leaving school aged 14. For this work he was paid 12 shillings and sixpence (62 1/2 pence) a week. He later became a docker at the Royal Docks.
