| Description: By the middle of the 19th century, the tea trade from the East to Britain was an enormous undertaking. Tea had moved from being the choice beverage of the ruling classes to a product of mass consumption across the whole social spectrum. Huge warehouses were built for the storage, grading and selection of tea at London's docks. |
