Description: The busy street outside the main entrance to the East India Docks. The masts of ships are visible behind the dock walls. The entrance was located at the western end of the Import Dock and linked the complex with Commercial Road via the East India Dock Road. The tea, silks and spices that arrived from the east would be sent by horse and cart along Commercial Road to the East India Company's Cutler Street warehouses in the City of London.
