Title: The Hermitage Basin (London Docks), c. 1969.
Description: The Hermitage Basin was at the westerly entrance to the Western Dock of the London Docks system. This was opened in 1821 for smaller ships and barges, but closed by 1909. The Basin survived until the closure of the London Docks and their infilling during the 1980s.
