Title: Porcelain figure of a Thames waterman.
Description: This white porcelain figure shows a Thames waterman in his typical working dress of the 18th century. He wears a full-skirted coat with an arm badge on the left sleeve, a buttoned waistcoat, breeches, stockings and a peaked cap. Slightly later coloured versions of this figure are in other collections, and on some the badge is painted with an anchor.
