Description: The original northern approach to the Woolwich Free Ferry, which opened in 1889. Vehicles were driven onto the boats via large ramps, while foot passengers used the smaller ramp alongside. To the left is the northern entrance to the Woolwich Foot Tunnel, which opened in October 1912.
