Description: Stevedores loading railway bogies into the hold of the P&O cargo vessel 'Coromandel' (1949) at the King George V Dock. Cargo loading was a highly skilled undertaking. Goods had to be arranged carefully both to maintain the balance of the ship and to ease the unloading at the various ports en route.
