| Description: The Federal Line's 'Taupo' (1966, 10,983 GRT) in the Royal Albert Dock. The Federal Steam Navigation Company was founded in 1895, and concentrated on the UK - New Zealand routes. Taken over by the New Zealand Shipping Company in 1912 and P&O in 1916, all its ships were transferred to the P&O in 1973. The 'Taupo' was sold and renamed in 1980. |
