Description: The Vasco Da Gama Pillar at Malindi stands just south of the modern town of Malindi at Vasco Da Gama Point. It marks the last stop in Africa before Vasco Da Gama sailed across the Indian Ocean to India in 1498. This sketch appeared in the 'Illustrated London News' in 1875.
