| Description: Pallets of oranges unloaded from the P&O cargo ship 'Strathbrora' (1967) sit on the quayside at the King George V Dock. Plums, currants, raisins, almonds, figs, bannanas, oranges, lemons and spices came from all over the Commonwealth to London. The port therefore played an important part in the commercial development of the former colonies. |
