Title: A Jahazi Dhow at Lamu, Kenya.
Description: The Jahazi dhow of Lamu Island is a relative of the Jalibut, used for pearling at Bahrain and fishing or trading around the coast of Oman. The 'Jahazi' is recognised by its vertical bow and transom stern. Both of these features may indicate European influence in the form of the Portuguese galley (Galeota) or the English naval Jolly-boat.
