Title: The coal store at Deptford Power Station.
Description: Deptford Power Station was built in 1889 by Sebastian de Ferranti, engineer to the London Electric Supply Corporation. It was the first genuine high-pressure power station in the world. Deptford station closed in 1983 and was demolished in 1992. The site is now covered with flats and houses. Sadly, there is no mention of the fact that the world's first modern power station had been there.
