Title: The East Greenwich Gasworks seen from the backyards of houses on Greenfell Street.
Description: The East Greenwich Gasworks were built on the Greenwich Peninsula by the South Metropolitan Gas Company in the 1880s. Gas production ceased in 1976 with the advent of North Sea gas. Part of the site of the former gasworks is now home to the Millennium Dome.
