| Description: This drawing of 'Eucalyptus alba' was on Cook's first voyage. Plates were made from all the drawings created on the voyage and the resulting engravings were highly esteemed. Some of these engravings were published in the 1900s under the direction of James Britten as 'Illustrations of Australian Plants'. It was not until 1974 that one hundred copies of Bank's 'Florilegium' were published. |
