Description: A replica carronade on wooden rear chock carriage with quoin elevation. It has a calibre of 6.25 inches (15.9 cm) and the Royal cypher of George III (1760-1820). It is one of a batch of non-firing replicas made to re-equip historic fortifications.
The carronades were a highly successful design, and were particularly deadly in close combat.
