Description: One of the ward decks on the Metropolitan Asylums Board's hospital ship 'Atlas'. It was kept spotlessly clean but was very cramped. The origins of the 'Atlas' as a man-of-war are obvious. Each bed was placed next to a 'window' - the former gun port, with the gun rings still in place above.
