| Description: The 'Nelson' (1814) is ready for launch and can be seen complete with oversized flags. The Woolwich Dockyard was kept busy with orders from the navy during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. The advent of peace in 1815 saw a sudden slump in demand, which led to real hardship for the dockyard communities of Woolwich and Deptford. |
