| Description: Taken from Cory's Barge Works looking towards Bugsby's Reach. In 1896, William Cory and Son Ltd began transporting coal into London using the Thames. On the return journey, tugs took a cargo of London's rubbish away. Today, Cory's is one of the leading waste management companies. The tug 'Hurricane' (1938) can be seen on the River Thames. |
