Description: The Maritime Hall was situated on the West India Dock Road, and was the home of the International Seafarers Club and Institute. A crowd of seamen from the Sailor's and Fireman's Union are demonstrating against the shipowners and demanding wage increases. This dispute was not isolated to London, but also occured in other ports around Great Britain. Havelock Wilson was the president of the union, which he formed in 1887.
