Repro ID: P27581
Title: Children at Commercial Dock Pier.
Description: A group of Rotherhithe children sit in a small boat at low water. The bow of a lighter can be seen to the right and to the left the tug 'Cricket' is just visible behind the pier. Eagar took many photographs of the Thames and the people who lived, worked and played along its shores. His work forms a remarkable document of a maritime community that no longer exists.
Creator: Waldo McGillycuddy Eagar CBE.
Date: c. 1914
