Description: The figurehead of Nelson's funeral carriage represented 'Fame' with a laurel wreath. After the funeral, the carriage remained in the Painted Hall at the Greenwich Hospital until 1840 when it was dismantled. The figurehead was saved and is now displayed in the National Maritime Museum.
