Title: A bag seal.
Description: This lead cloth or bag seal with the merchant's mark of the East India Company, has a coat of arms on one side, and the letters VEIC within a heart shape with the number four above, on the other. It was recovered from the wreck site of an unidentified merchantman c. 1780-1815 in the Edinburgh Channel, Thames Estuary in 1975.
