Description: The Corporation of Trinity House is a unique maritime organisation which has as its prime objective the safety of shipping and the welfare of seafarers. It was constituted under a Royal Charter granted by Henry VIII in 1514. Trinity Monday was when the corporation met to elect its officers for the year. |
