Description: A marble bust of Inigo Jones (1573-1652). Jones devised dramatic court entertainments for James I and Charles I and encouraged the introduction of classical architecture of Rome and the Italian Renaissance to England.
He designed the first Italian-style buildings in England, including the Queen's House at Greenwich, and the Banqueting House at Whitehall Palace.
