Title: Entrance to the old spice warehouses at the East India Docks.
Description: Apart from a few spice stores, the East India Dock at Blackwall did not have extensive warehousing on site. This was largely because its goods were of great value. Once they were unloaded, luxury imports such as tea and silks were quickly transported along Commercial Road to the East India Company's Cutler Street warehouses in the City of London.
