Description: This model of Leptis Magna in North Africa gives an indication of what a Roman port looked liked c. 300 AD. It depicts a Roman barge unloading at a quayside. During the Roman period there were quays at Billingsgate and Dowgate, at the mouth of the River Wallbrook.
