Description: The Wolf Rock Lighthouse was built 1862-70. It is situated about eight miles off Land's End in Cornwall and is subjected to some of the worst weather conditions around the British Isles. The original oil-powered light was replaced by a generator powered electric light in 1955. With a range of 23 miles, the signal is one white flash every 15 seconds. There is also a fog signal sounding out every 30 seconds.
