Most visitors to London - and indeed most Londoners - think that the present Chinatown in Soho is the only Chinatown to have existed in the capital.

A look through the novels of Conan Doyle and Oscar Wilde points to the existence of another Chinatown in the 19th century. This story tells the history of London's original Chinatown.
