| Description: The tea clipper 'Titania' (1866), built by Robert Steele & Co., of Greenock, at the Britannia Dry Dock, Millwall. By the end of the 19th century there were several dry docks along the Thames. The docks repaired the thousands of ships that used the Port of London. 'Titania' (1866) was broken up at Marseilles in March 1910 after colliding with the SS 'Courowarra' off Green Cape en route from Australia. |
