Title: A view of Woolwich, by John Boydell.
Description: The Royal Dockyard, Woolwich was founded in 1513 by Henry VIII for the building of his new ship, the 'Great Harry'. The yard was enlarged several times until the middle of the 19th century, but closed in 1869.
