Description: The equatorial telescope and regulator assembled in the portable wooden hut taken on the Transit of Venus expeditions in 1874. Before setting out, the huts and apparatus were assembled in Greenwich Park. This one, as the stamps across the hut show, was destined for Station B in the Sandwich Islands.
